Hello and welcome to Sonas Craft Studio. My name is Martina and here is a little about me and the studio.

I have always had a paint brush in my hand, being creative in some way or another!  I was a painter and decorator with my own business for many years, painting ceilings, walls, doors the lot!  I then moved onto kitchen units, transforming many kitchens by painting tired pine/mahogony units and making them look fresh and brand new again. This nicely paved the way to what I do now.

In 2007 myself and Ronan had a dream to move to the country and that's what we did!  We found this idyllic spot and fell in love with the area immediately.  Next thing we were building a studio for us both to use from upcycled doors and windows and anything we could find in good condition.  It's amazing what people throw out!  We bartered with builder friends and got quite a bit built this way, and before we knew it, Sonas Craft Studio was born!  It sits looking down the garden, protected by our beautiful and magnificent Lime tree.

The studio has hosted a sixteenth birthday, Halloween parties, celebrations of all types, and film nights on the big white back wall. It's a fabulous space.

So now I'm inviting you all in to learn the art of decoupage and upcycling. I'll teach you many techniques you can take home and carry on using for yourself, or to make gifts for any occasion. There is a stove to make it cosy in winter and our welcoming, sunny garden in summer. It's all set under the watchful eye of our magnificent Lime tree, a sight in itself and definitely worth hugging!

I'm so excited to open the studio up to share my craft with everyone.  It's so rewarding seeing people's reaction when they transform something old into something beautiful. The chat, banter and smiles are addictive, plus the homemade scones, tea and coffee are quite delicious!  All are welcome, so please get in touch!
